When looking at film openings we notice three basic structures which are as followed:
- A narrative opening with titles running throughout
Examples: The Stepfather, The shining
-A discrete title sequence
Examples: Seven, Arlington Road
-Titles over a blank screen, followed by the narrative opening
Examples: Donnie Darko and Mezrine
